Dilliard, Irving. Building the Constitution, 1963

Dilliard, editor of the editorial page of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, prepared

for the paper in 1937 a series of "dispatches" on the Constitutional Convention "such as

might have been written had an experienced newspaper correspondent been present." These

pieces were later reprinted over 20 times in booklet form. Dilliard autographed this

copy to Cyril Clemens.
