Notes

  • Abstract

These papers formed part of the cache of general historical University material housed in the St. Louis Room of the University's library since the 1950s. Since they were the personal accumulation of an individual professor, they were separated from the Historical Records to become a manuscript collection. The collection comprises the following four series: 1. Bulletins and Reports; 2. Constitution and Membership; 3. Letters; 4. Programs.

  • Scope and Contents

Dr. Wilkins was a charter member of the American Catholic Psychological Association, founded to represent the Catholic world view in psychology. He served on the Committee on Organization during the group's formative years from 1947 to 1950. This collection consists of material that he saved documenting the early development of the Association: proposed aims, names, membership requirements, draft constitutions, etc.
